I'm Mariana
I’m a Cuban-American writer, poet, and visual storyteller who believes in the power of words to bridge worlds. My writing explores faith, literature, and the human experience, creating space for honest conversations—especially for those who feel caught in between. I host Meet At The Well, a bi-weekly Substack newsletter, and Podcast where the weary and the outliers break barriers, not each other.When I’m not writing or researching for my next academic paper, you can find me wandering bookstores and museums or gathering around the table with family and friends for sobremesa.
About My Work
Whether through poetry, storytelling, or visual art, I am drawn to the spaces in between—the tension between faith and doubt, belonging and exile, sacred and secular.I am a recent graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in English-Literary Studies and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts with an Emphasis in Women and Ministry at Northern Seminary. My written and visual work has been featured in The Way Back to Ourselves, Vessels of Light, Thread Magazine, HuffPost, BuzzFeed, and luxury books, including Assouline’s limited edition The Ocean Club.I also co-host The Artist’s Table, a local creative gathering where artists and storytellers come together over sobremesa—my favorite time at dinner.
